QUESTIONS ON YOUR MIND

A little more clarity.

Do I need an employer willing to sponsor me?

The 482 is an employer-sponsored pathway. An eligible employer and suitable nominated role are central to the application. Our legal service does not include finding you employment or guaranteeing a sponsor.

Can my partner and children join me?

Eligible family members may be included or may apply as subsequent entrants. Family eligibility, sponsor consent where applicable, relationship evidence, health and character need to be considered. See our family members guide before deciding how to apply.

Does having sponsorship approval mean a worker can start?

Sponsorship approval is only one part of the process. The position, nomination and the worker’s visa and work conditions must also be considered. Check their actual work rights before agreeing to a start date.

How much will the process cost?

The total depends on the applications required, family composition, third-party expenses and the legal work involved. Our costs guide separates employer and applicant costs; we provide a scoped legal fee proposal before engagement.
